This should give Americans a hint at what Obama will do on taxes if he is elected. Yes thats right higher taxes, and not only higher capital gain tax which he says willing to raise high as 28% from 15%..He would hurt all middle class income Americans!

We do need the teamsters and those folks who also use fuel to make a living. Pilots, cabbies, rail road people…anyone who needs a decent price on fuel. We need to make the public understand that big trucks move this country. There are so many stereo types of what we are and what we do. As I have posted other places, Bush needs to be in the country, some of the Texas truckers need to camp outside his ranch, nothing gets in nothing goes out (within the limits of the law) in the captial city of each state those of us not on the road picket it…kids teens old folks
dogs. I read yesterday that for every 10 foreclosures 6 of them are truckers or folks who use fuel to feed our families. I talked to folks in Washington they dont think we have the balls or brains to do this. We ARE not asking for anything unreasonable. Let those guys and gals in Washington go fill up their own cars and fill the pinch. Let them eat macaroni and cheese every night. I love my country, but the government needs to get a grip…

I applaud the independant truckers who took a stand against Bush and the big oil companies. Its too bad that the TEAMSTER’s did’nt join the independents on this issue. The trucking industry if they all pulled together could FORCE Congress to address the issue of these high prices. If we ever want to get a handle on this issue all of us must sacrifice alittle to gain alot. Do not fear the government for we the people are the government and I think most people in office has forgotten that.

My very best wishes for Mr Richard Nickless. Imagine, if you will, the money he has made as moderator and then why doesn’t Reginald give Mr Nickless a gigantic retirement package or lend him his Visa Card for a few years with no strings attached. Sorry Joe, I don’t use heating oil. Chop wood and stay warm two ways.

And where is this money supposed to come from? I am paying $3.14 a gallon for home heating oil, double the price of some groceries from a year ago. dod I get a raise? Yes. Enough to cover everything? No.

It’s about time. We need new blood. We need sidewalks, we need a capital improvement plan. We need a spending plan and elevators in the town hall. Let’s get going and spend some money on shade trees.

I think this is a pretty good idea. There’s a lot going on. People should be getting involved. What about the task force for the Nichewaug Inn? Whatever happened to that? Any ideas?
